The 2008 Olympic games and me   

 Although there are many different nations and languages in this world, but the pronunciation of the word “Olympic” is the same, because the people of the world are all pursuing this “higher, faster, stronger” Olympic spirit.

   As we all know, the 2008 Olympic games will be held in Beijing. Being a Chinese, I am very proud. Then what can I do to help the 2008 Olympic games? I may not be old enough to be a volunteer but I can help with the small things around me. I can use my English to help the foreign travelers, I can tell them the way to many many great places in Shanghai. I will tell my friends and family to learn the Olympic spirit and the good manners, I wish everybody could smile at the foreigners and help them out with their difficulties. I will ask the people around me to protect the environment, I wish everyone could plant more trees .don’t waste water, take buses and subways more often, don’t smoke in public and no spitting to make a real green Olympic.

If there were a chance, I wish I could go to Beijing and watch the Olympic games. I will cheer for the athletes from all over the world. Several generations waiting, several generations effort brought us this 2008 Olympic games. Confucius said that having a far come friend is happy, is it not? At the time of the Olympic games we can make many far come friends and I believe that the 2008 Olympic games will help to enhance the harmony between our culture and the diverse cultures of the world.
